A picture is worth a thousand words.

Don't you hate it when you click on a person's photo, and all you see is a shadowy figure blurred by an unfocused lens?  Well so does everyone else!  If you post a mysterious photo the only thing people will think is that you must have something to hide.  Make sure to post a clear photo that gets up close and personal with the real you.  If there is more than one person in your photo, be sure to make it clear which one you are.  You can do this by either typing on the photo, or writing about it in your about us section.

Tired of having your email messages ignored?

Here are 5 simple ways to improve your staying power.

1. Be creative!  Nothing gets trashed faster than stale pizza.   Keep your emails fresh and interesting and your odds of getting a response will increase.

2.  Template emails are a definite don't.  The average user will be able to recognize one a mile away.  Find a common interest from a user's profile and build your email message off of that. You may find a sweet spot in your Asian Friend's heart.

3. Laughter is the best medicine for a lonely heart.  If you want your Asian Friends to instantly feel at ease with you then tell a joke.  You can find funny jokes on the AF Jokes section.

4.  Keep it short!  No one wants to read a book when they are
checking their email from work. Leave something to the imagination so that the next time you meet you will have
something to talk about.

5. Desperados stay back!  Limit emails to every other day.  You don't want to appear desperate.  Play hard to get and you might just be the one caught!

Tips for Meeting in person.

The day has finally arrived!  You have a date with that amazing person you met off of AsianFriends.com!  Here are ways to secure a pleasant first date experience:

Just like your emails, your date should be short and sweet.  Keep yourself mysterious, and have your date wanting to see more of you.   On a first date it's never good to schedule dinner and a movie because you might not be attracted to them once you meet face to face.  The best way to avoid this is to schedule a short lunch, coffee date, or matinee.  That way you will have an escape plan in case your date turns out to be different than what you had hoped for.  You can always make plans for a second date if you like them.

Leave something to the imagination.  Don't tell your date everything about you on the first date.  No one wants to hear about how you were made fun of in high school until they know you better.  The same qualities that will make your date love you in the future can be the same qualities that scare them away on the first date.
